Cadence Horsemanship is a proud program partner of the Arizona Cactus-Pine Council Girl Scouts.
Since 2018, we’ve been hosting Girl Scouts of ALL ages at the Cadence barnyard. In fact, we’ve introduced hundreds of girls - Daisies, Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes and Seniors - and their families to the world of horsemanship!
Our popular Girl Scout Horsemanship Clinic is a jam-packed, 3+ hour program consisting of trainer/handler-led small group sessions on grooming/leading/tying; health & nutrition; anatomy/breeds; and concluding with ride prep and supervised riding!
For eligible Girl Scouts, the Horsemanship Clinic may also fulfill the requirements of the Junior Horseback Riding Badge.
All Girl Scouts who complete our clinic receive their very own Cadence Horsemanship program patch!
We’re happy to reserve a clinic date for your troop with a minimum commitment of eight participants. Clinics can accommodate up to 12 total so if your troop is much larger, we recommend scheduling separate clinics for an ideal horsemanship experience.
Cost is $50 per participant. No charge for parents/spectators. We can collect payment on your group’s arrival via cash, check or Venmo.
We’ll provide a pre-clinic email with instructions, waivers and prep info (directions, what to wear, what to expect, etc.) two weeks out from your confirmed clinic date.
